Who we are

A grassroots community food program in North Quincy.

We run out of St. Chrysostom's Episcopal Church, serving a USDA-recognized low-income, low-access area. Local unemployment runs well above the city average.

Our mission

Nourishing our community

Our mission is clear: to nourish our community through dependable, nutritious food support built on strong partnerships and shared compassion.

We envision a community free from hunger, where all neighbors can thrive with reliable access to nutritious food.

Today we open one Saturday a month. With growing community support, our goal is to expand to twice a month to better meet the rising need in our community.

The need

Persistently high food prices and growing reliance on assistance mean many neighbors struggle daily to keep their pantries stocked, stretching dollars for food while sacrificing other priorities like preventive health care.

Where we are

As the only food pantry serving North Quincy, we're an essential local resource. Most of our neighbors are seniors who arrive on foot, and we also serve many families with children. A walkable pantry close to home matters.

Our commitment & values

Access to healthy food is a human right

We partner with St. Chrysostom's Episcopal Church and a dedicated network of community organizations to provide holistic care. We value the dignity and innate worth of every client, conducting our service with respect, compassion, and honesty.

We're committed to the pragmatic use of our resources to help the maximum number of people, to advocate for social change, and to provide excellent leadership and partnership in service of this shared mission.

We serve a culturally and linguistically diverse community, and dignity means offering foods that feel familiar, usable, and meaningful.

Our team

The people behind Good Neighbors

Good Neighbors is 100% volunteer-run, powered by a dedicated team and a growing network of volunteers and community partners.
